Stop Smoking Clinics

Our HCA Julia is now offering help and advice on stopping smoking.

  • Parkhill Medical Practice Mondays each week

Although Julia has set clinics, she is available at other times too.

Infant and Baby Clinics (Child Development)

By the Doctor, Practice Nurse and Health Visitor at both Practices as detailed below:

Parkhill Medical Practice

Monday 2.00pm - 3.00pm Doctor
Health Visitor and Practice Nurse available From 2.00pm - 4.00pm Available for immunisations and any other problems.

Maternity Clinics

Individual doctors usually carry our their antenatal care during normal surgery times. The Community Midwife runs clinics at the following times:

  • Parkhill Medical Practice            Tuesday & Thursday 9.30am - 12.30pm (Midwifery Team)

These clinics are by appointment only. Your Midwife may be contacted during antenatal clinics. She may also be contacted through Torbay Hospital through Torbay Hospital Midwives Department on 654601.

Well Woman Checks/Cervical Smears

These now take place during normal surgery hours and require a 20 minute appointment, so please specify if such a check is required.

They are carried out by the Practice Nurse who will take some basic details, carry out any further checks necessary: Blood pressure, urine testing, advice regarding breast self examination, smears etc and give any advice that may be necessary such as contraception, smoking, tetanus, vaccination etc.

Family Planning

All doctors provide comprehensive confidential advice about contraceptive cover during normal surgery times.

Leg Ulcer Clinic

  • Parkhill Medical Practice Tuesday 2.00pm - 4.00pm

Diabetic Clinic

These take place during normal surgery hours and require a 20 minute appointment.
